(BEDFORD) - A Williams woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after officers found her passed out on a bench outside of JayC Foods Plus
Bedford police officers were called to the store at 3:39 p.m.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers attempted to wake 23-year-old Alex Marie Tomlinson of Williams.
"After getting her awake, she appeared to be intoxicated or on some kind of controlled substance," Parsley says.
"That is when she told police she had a needle in her pocket."
Officers were given permission to search Tomlinson's vehicle where they found meth, a counterfeit controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Tomlinson was charged with possession of meth, possession of a counterfeit controlled substance, public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia.
