(GREENE CO.) - A one-vehicle accident near Worthington sent a driver and two passengers to area hospitals on Sunday.
According to the Greene County Sheriff's Department, 24-year-old Cheyenne Riley of Switz City was driving south on County Road 320 West, south of Terre Haute, when the accident occurred at shortly before 2 a.m.
Riley was entering a curve when the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville she was driving left the road and hit a utility pole head on. Air Evac transported her to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis for head injuries and leg pain.
Her passengers, 26-year-old Gary Coffman of Worthington and a two-year-old child were taken by ambulance to Bloomington IU Health for injuries to their heads and faces.
Deputy Bobby Pierce is still investigating this accident.
The GCSD was assisted by the Worthington Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance Services E-2 and E-3, Air Evac 39, and REMC.
