(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana State Excise Police Officers will be increasing late night and early morning patrols around university and college campuses beginning this weekend.
Uniformed and plain clothed officers will be patrolling residential areas and side streets that border along the campuses as well as parking lots of alcoholic beverage premises near campuses.
Indiana State Excise Police Superintendent Matt Strittmatter says officers will be observing for criminal activity and suspicious and dangerous behavior. They will also be assisting and working in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies in their efforts to insure a safe campus environment.
