(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County residents seeking Christmas assistance from the Salvation Army have until Friday to apply for help.
Capt. Donna Rose has extended the deadline, which is usually Oct. 31, because her office continues to receive requests.
Last year, the Salvation Army helped 258 families at Christmas. This year that number will be around 300.
To request help, call the Salvation Army, 275-5429.
