(STATEHOUSE) - House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced that State Representative Matt Ubelhor (R-Bloomfield) will be serving in a leadership capacity for the Indiana House Republican Caucus. Rep. Ubelhor was appointed to serve as the Assistant Majority Whip.
All leadership appointments as well as committee chairmanships and vice chairmanships were announced. Committee chairmen and caucus leaders are selected biennially by the majority party after each election year.
"I am happy to assume the role of Assistant Majority Whip while also serving our community to the best of my ability," said Rep. Ubelhor. "This new role will allow me to help shape and administer the legislative priorities we outlined in our agenda."
In his position as the Assistant Majority Whip, Rep. Ubelhor will assist State Rep. Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute), Majority Whip.
"I am deeply honored to have been chosen for this assignment, and I will work hard to serve the people of district 62, continuing to make Indiana the envy of our great nation," said Rep. Ubelhor.
Rep. Ubelhor (R-Bloomfield) represents the majority of Greene County and portions of Monroe, Martin and Daviess counties.
