(SALEM) - St.Vincent Salem Hospital will be hosting an anger management class each Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the hospital chapel for the next six weeks.
Anger Management God's Way will be presented by Pastor Jay Hebard. Anger Management God's Way is a biblical perspective of how to deal with the anger and rage inside you. Join us as we delve into God's Word and learn how to tame the roaring lion within us.
Through this class, we hope you will discover that right believing is really all about the person of Jesus. When you believe in Him and His love for you, His grace for you and the power of His finished work in your life, He will transform you from the inside out.
Pastor Jay Hebard was born in Los Angeles, CA. He spent his youth in multiple foster homes and boys homes to Juvenile Detention to county jail to prison. After turning his life over to Christ he returned to the same Juvenile Detention Center as a volunteer. He began attending chaplaincy training and became the senior chaplain at Los Padrinos Juvenile Center in Downey, CA which housed a minimum of 435 minors.
In 1992 he and his family moved to Flagstaff, AZ where he was the community chaplain overseeing the juvenile county jail, the hospital and behavioral health facilities. While in Flagstaff he studied National Community Crisis Response Standard Training & Understanding and Investigating Child Abuse at Northern Arizona University. He was on the emergence response team through Victim's Witness. He was ordained as assistant pastor of Lamb of God Bible Church. He also carried ordination papers through Church for the Nations.
In October 2013 he and his family moved to Salem, Indiana.
Pastor Jay has been married to Debi since 1977. He is the father of 5 children and grandfather of three. He is a child of the one true King!
