(WASHINGTON) - The Washington Police Department revealed the identity of the person behind the Oct. 30 threat against Washington High School.
According to a press release, 18-year-old Dakota Tipton is facing one count of intimidation, a level 6 felony. A juvenile was also arrested.
"We want people to know they can be tracked down and it won't be taken lightly," WPD Chief Mike Healy said.
Police announced an arrest one day after the threat but declined to release a name at the time.
The threat resulted in a 2-hour evacuation of the school after officials became aware of a post on Yik Yak, a popular social media website that allows users to post anonymously. No bomb was found as officials did a complete sweep of the building.
