Travis Roush Will Become New Sheriff In Martin County

(MARTIN CO.) - Voter turnout for Martin County Tuesday was 49 percent - with only 3,882 ballots cast of the 7,852 registered voters.

There were 602 straight party Republican ballots cast, 240 straight party Democrat tickets and 43 straight party Libertarian.

Of the 18 precincts, North Center had the highest turnout at 62.45 percent and Crane had the lowest turnout at 26.34 percent.

Travis Roush defeated Incumbent Rob Street 2289 to 1544

Recorder
Incumbent Gerald Montgomery defeated Ann Stewart 2150 to 1554

Trustees
Perry: Jason Hennette defeated Ernie Canell 1077 to 677
Mitcheltree: Tammy Gore defeated James Norman Pup 105 to 98

Loogootee School Board
Chad Wade received 514 votes defeating Mary Walton with 179 vote and Larry Craney receiving 164 votes.
Scott Hall took 501 defeating Bobbi Sue Nonte who received 370 votes

County Council:
Randy Wininger defeated Bruce Fithian 498 to 467
Barb McFeaters defeated Richard Burch 595 to 349
Lynn Gee defeated Karen Hickman 509 to 388
