(FAYETTEVILLE) - Two people suffered minor injuries after the vehicle they were in rolled at Avoca Eureka and John Kern roads.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers were notified about the 2:45 a.m. crash after an IU Health Hospital emergency room worker reported they were treating two people who had been injured in an accident on Avoca Eureka and John Kern roads.
According to a police report, 19-year-old Brian Taylor of Springville was traveling west-southwest on John Kern Road when he came around a 90 degree curve too fast and lost control of his 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck.
The truck "fish-tailed" when he lost control and the truck crossed into the other lane before running off the south side of the road and into an embankment on the south side of the road.
The vehicle rolled two times and landed on its wheels and then traveled back onto the roadway and continued to travel westbound on John Kern Road and stopped facing east southeast off the roadway.
According to police, Taylor called a family member, who took the him and his passenger, 16-year-old Todd Hicks, to the hospital.
Taylor suffered arms and shoulder pain. Hicks complained of head pain following the accident.
