(LINTON) - Sold - that’s what the realty sign outside of the former Stoll’s Country Inn says.
The Greene County Daily World reports that Andrew and Erica Hobbs Wring purchased the restaurant and hope to have it back open this time as a barbecue joint dubbed Wring's Smokehouse and County Store. They are hoping to be open in December.
The menu will feature smokehouse favorites such as pulled pork, ribs and brisket. They'll also have steak, pork chops and grilled chicken. The menu features appetizers, desserts and country sides. Stoll's lovers don't fret, they will have some of Stoll's favorites like fried chicken and catfish.
Everything will be homemade -- from side dishes, desserts and sauces to salad dressings and croutons.
The former front dining area will be renovated into a country store featuring handmade goods from Indiana. The Wrings are doing away with the buffet portion of the restaurant and will replace that area with seating, The back dining area will no longer be separated with a wall -- it will be a large dining room.
For former patrons of Stoll's Country Inn, Stoll's gift certificates cannot be honored by the new business, but will be honored at Stoll's location in Evansville.
Hours of operation for the new business are still being worked out and they are currently taking applications for employment.
To keep up to date on progress, get an application and the opening date of the restaurant, like them on Facebook at Wring's Smokehouse and Country Store.
