(MONTGOMERY) - A complaint on an underage drinking party resulted in a total of 21 people being arrested and charged with wrongdoing.
Around 1:54 Saturday morning, the Daviess County Sheriff's Department received a complaint of loud music and possible underage drinking at 4984 County Road North 575 East, in Montgomery.
Deputies and Indiana State Troopers arrived on scene and immediately saw numerous individuals running from the residence. After a foot pursuit, seven juveniles were apprehended and returned to the home.
Officers observed numerous other juveniles at the residence consuming alcohol.
Of the 43 people at the party, 7 were arrested for minor consuming and resisting law enforcement and 10 were arrested on a charge of minor consuming. Three minors less than 18 years old were charged with minor consuming and released to a guardian.
Officers learned that the brother of the homeowner, whom he was house sitting for, had invited people over for the party and was aware that there were minors present. He was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Names and ages of those incarcerated are unavailable at this time.
