(BEDFORD) - 21-year-old Robert Lintz was arrested early this morning after a woman filed a battery affidavit.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, officers were alerted to the battery by Bedford Police officers.
"Bedford police were called to a home on Heltonville Road after a woman reported she was battered," Craig added. "When they learned the incident happened in the county they contacted our department."
Officers went to the home on Heltonville Road and had the woman come to the station to file a battery affidavit.
The woman told police she was at a home in the 700 block of Younger Road to pick up a child, when Lintz got into her vehicle and there was an argument.
"The woman says during that argument, Mr. Lintz allegedly pushed her which caused her to hit her head against a window, which left a bruise," Craig added. "He then allegedly pulled out the keys and threw them at her causing an injury."
Craig says there was a small child in the vehicle during the fight.
After interviewing the woman at the station, officers went to the home on Younger Road and arrested Lintz on a charge of domestic battery in the presence of a minor and he was taken to jail.
Officers also provided the woman with information about domestic violence and contacted Child Protective Services.
