(BEDFORD) - Crews with the Bedford Parks Department have completed renovating the fourth stone picnic area at Otis.
The Times-Mail reports that the work was done by Shane Nolan. There are also plans to install grills this spring.
The city is also funding a new stone picnic at the soccer complex behind the Red Brick.
The the Bedford Recreation Foundation has committed about $50,000 to renovate the city's parks.
Most of the money was raised through the Claude Akins Golf Classic and the golf ball.
Funds were also set aside for a new scoreboard at Wilson Park and committed funds for a pavilion at the soccer complex and for a projection system to show outdoor movies at the parks.
