(LOOGOOTEE) - Chip Mehaffey was hired as the new Loogootee High School Principal.
The Loogootee School Board accepted the resignation of high school Principal John Mullen on November 18.
Mullen is currently on a leave of absence until December 31st, which is when his resignation will be official.
The board thanked Mr. Mullen for his years as the Loogootee principal.
Mehaffey will fill the position on January 5 when school resumes after the Christmas break.
