(MONROVIA) - The family of DeVona Rothrock fear she is in danger. The Monrovia woman has been missing for almost a month. She disappeared without a trace.
Andrea Sandlin and her family want to know what happened to their aunt.
"Not knowing is the scariest part in the world," Sandlin added. "I fear something bad, something really bad has happened. I don't think she just up and left."
According to police, her 18-year-old son came home November 20 to find food on the stove, along with his mother's coat, cell phone and valuables all in the house, but Rothrock was gone. She had no car. Her son's car had broken down so he drove hers to school that day.
Sandlin had spoke to DeVona around 12:15 p.m. and her son found her missing around 3:35 p.m.
Sandlin says there was no sign of a struggle.
"She was making hamburger patties in the kitchen," Sandlin says.
The Morgan County Sheriff say this is a "bizarre" case. They have not ruled out foul play, but after weeks of searching for DeVona, detectives have hit a dead end. Police say they need the public's help.
The family is not giving up and have been peppering social media with pictures and asking for prayers.
