(SEYMOUR) - An Illinois man was arrested after leading a trooper on a vehicle pursuit on I-65 in Seymour.
On Friday at 7 p.m. Indiana State Trooper Matt Holley attempted to pull over a black 2003 BMW on I-65 because the driver was speeding.
The driver continued traveling on I-65 for more than three miles before finally pulling over near the 54 mile marker.
The trooper obtained 29-year-old Alexander Mark's driver's license and was writing a ticket when Mark took off.
Trooper Holley pursued Mark south on I-65. At times speeds reached more than 90 miles per hour. Mark turned off I-65 at the Seymour interchange and his BMW was boxed in by Seymour Police and Trooper Holley at Sandy Creek Drive and US 50.
Mark was arrested without further incident.
During a search of the 2003 BMW, police located what appeared to be marijuana.
Mark, of Wheaton, Illinois, was taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement by fleeing in a vehicle, a Level 6 Felony and possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.
Trooper Holley was assisted by Seymour Police during the incident.
