(BEDFORD) - Healthy Happy Kids has an extraordinary cheer team named Indiana Cheer Elite and they are ranked 21st in the nation for the month of October.
Only the top 25 scores across the nation make it on the United States finals monthly classifications.
Healthy Happy Kids is located off State Road 37 in Bedford. Indiana Cheer Elite started in 2013. The owner is Ashley Wilder and the manager is Amber Limones who is also the main coach. The ICE teams are categorized by age and skill and consists of Tiny Shimmer, Mini Brilliance and Senior Diamonds.
For the opening of competition season in October, Tiny Shimmer received second place, and Mini Brilliance third place at Jamfest in Evansville.
The teams train at a minimum of 5 hours per week, and are coached by Amber Limones, Ashlee Boyce, Kayla Hawkins and Alex Allen.
The instructors put in just as much time as the teams do; however they receive good support from their families as well.
The teams will travel to Indianapolis, Evansville and Lexington, Ky., to perform for the 2014-2015 year.
