IU Student Killed In Accident

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University student, 18-year-old Alexander Ruesta, was killed in an automobile accident Dec. 17.

According to the Porter County County Coroner's Office, Ruesta was killed from a blunt force trauma during a vehicle collision.

Police say Ruesta was killed after another vehicle improperly passed the vehicle he was riding in. Ruesta was a backseat passenger in the car.

Ruesta was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to an obituary published in the Times of Northwestern Indiana, Ruesta was a 2014 graduate of Wheeler High School, in Valparaiso.
