(BLOOMINGTON) - On Tuesday, Bloomington Police were called to the 300 block South Walnut Street, 6:42 p.m. after they received a call reporting a fight at the the Bloomington Transit Bus Terminal.
When police arrived, a man told them he was talking with a friend on the bus when a black man wearing a tan trench coat asked him to repeat what he said.
The man said he was speaking with his friend and didn't say more. That is when the man in the trench coat punched him in the face twice, pulled his hair and forced him off of the bus.
The victim told police the man continued to punched once they were off the bus.
Witnesses on the bus confirmed the victim's story.
Police arrested 31-year-old Michael Anthony Thompson, on a charge of battery.
His bond was set at $2,000 surety, $500 cash, but he is on a probation hold.
