(BEDFORD) - 30-year-old Justin Tolbert was arrested after police served a search warrant and discovered meth and narcotic drugs at a home in the 4500 block of Port Williams Road last month.
Tolbert is charged with dealing meth and narcotic drugs, possession of meth and narcotic drugs and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
On Nov. 18, the Lawrence County Drug Task force officers and the county's Emergency Response Team served a search warrant in the 4500 block of Port Williams Road. At that time, Brandon Eagan of Mitchell was arrested for possession of meth and heroin and maintaining a common nuisance.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, officers entered the home and they discovered one gram of heroin and one gram of meth in plain sight on a table in the living room and more drugs packaged to sale, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana and a handgun.
In total, officers recovered more than 24 grams of meth heroin and 4 of heroin in the home.
Eagan was the only person at the home during the search, but the investigation continued leading to the arrest of Tolbert.
