(SOLSBERRY) - The Indiana Department of Transportation have converted the intersection of State Road 43, County Road 420 North and County Road 970 East at the general store in Solsberry to a four-way stop.
Previously the intersection has been a two-way stop with the county roads yielding the right of way to a 90-degree turn for State Road 43. INDOT urges motorists and pedestrians to watch for other drivers as they adjust to the new traffic pattern.
The change is being made in response to customer concerns of increased traffic and near-misses at the intersection. INDOT traffic counts confirmed that a four-way stop was the more suitable traffic control at this intersection.
