(LINTON) - Greene County Health-Linton Medical Clinic welcomed Becky Jackson, a nurse practitioner and midwife, to the practice.
Jackson, a 1992 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, joins Dr. Gene Bourgasser, Dr. Chris Holmes and Physician Assistant Corianne Vanderkolk at Greene County Health-Linton.
Beginning Monday, Jackson began accepting new patients from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
Jackson has worked in long term care for 10 years including being a director of nursing and public health surveyor for the Indiana State Health Department.
In 2003, Jackson received a master's degree -- allowing her to practice as a nurse practitioner, specializing in family practice. In 2007, she became certified as a nurse midwife.
Since becoming a midwife, Jackson has delivered 267 babies.
To better serve patients, Jackson will be offering extended hours -- 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The clinic opens at 7 a.m. five days a week.
Jackson is accepting new patients at Greene County Health-Linton. The clinic is located at 1210 North 1000 West and can be reached by calling 812-847-7005.
