(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly injured his ex-girlfriend early Sunday morning.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to a home in the 1100 block of M at 12:11 a.m. on Sunday after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend 21-year-old Zackary Harden came to her home and knocked on the back door.
"When the woman answered the door, Harden allegedly hit the woman in the face and then pushed her down and began striking her in the chest," Parsley added.
The woman signed a battery affidavit.
Officers located Harden at WamMart the next evening.
"That is when they discovered Mr. Harden was also wanted on a warrant in Kentucky for theft of a legend drug," Parsley added. "He was also arrested on a battery charge."
