(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying the man in this photo.
Police say that this man attempted to cash one of the stolen lottery tickets taken in a robbery approximately 3 hours after the robbery occurred.
The man was seen leaving in a silver Chevrolet Trail Blazer.
The robbery took place at 3:37 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Village Pantry located at 275 East Winslow Road.
The clerk told police that four, possibly three, men entered the store and asked for cigarettes. After she retrieved the cigarettes and turned back to face the men, the men were wearing masks, had a gun and told her she was being robbed.
The clerk told the men she could not get into the store's safe, so they stole the clerk's purse and lottery tickets from the store.
The clerk was then forced at gunpoint into a back office.
According to police, this man attempted to cash one of the stolen lottery tickets taken from the robbery, about three hours later.
Anyone with information about the robbery or who can identify the man should call Bloomington police Detective Kevin Hill at (812) 349-3355.
