(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman was arrested after a domestic fight left a man bleeding from his stomach.
Bloomington Police were called to the 200 block of Kimble Drive at 12:46 a.m. because a man had been stabbed in the stomach.
When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man covering two puncture wounds with a towel.
He told police he had been stabbed twice with a knife after a verbal fight with 40-year-old Erica Cooper Kraemer.
During the argument, the man told police that he had poured alcohol on Kraemer's head when she said she was going to call 911. He also took her phone from her.
Kraemer told police that the man had pushed her to the ground and struck her with the cell phone. She says she then grabbed a knife from a drawer and stabbed him.
When the man took the knife from her, she said she tried to grab it back and cut her hand.
Officers recovered the blood-covered knife and found blood on the living room floor where the stabbing occurred.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment and Kraemer was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and booked into the Monroe County Jail. Her bond was set at $30,000 surety, $500 cash, but she is being held on a probation violation.
