(SULLIVAN CO.) - The body found in a Sullivan cornfield is that of missing 20-year-old Tiffanie Adams.
Adams, of Sullivan, was identified Friday through dental records.
Her death has been ruled a homicide and is currently being investigated by the Indiana State Police with the assistance of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department.
Adams' body was discovered on the afternoon of December 30, by a farmer while harvesting corn in a field near County Road 300 North and CR 325 East, northeast of Sullivan.
Tiffanie was last seen on November 5 walking from her father's home on North Broad Street to her mother's residence nearly one block away.
Adams, who was also seven months pregnant, was reported missing by her family on November 7. Now, her parents are demanding justice for their daughter and their unborn grandson.
"She was just the sweetest girl," said Christina Orr, Adams' mother. "Whoever is out there that did it, you will get caught. I can't even imagine that person being a person."
Adams was found dead just two days before her son was due, on New Year's Day.
Anyone with any information regarding this case, more specifically, if anyone saw Tiffanie speaking with someone or riding in a car on the day of her disappearance, should contact Detective Michael Taylor at the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post at (765) 653-4114 or the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office at 812-268-4044. Callers can remain anonymous.
Also assisting are the Sullivan County Coroner's Office and Sullivan County Prosecutor's Office.
This is an ongoing investigation and to protect the integrity of the case, the cause of death is not being released at this time.
Any major developments in the case will be released as soon as possible.
