(DUBOIS CO.) - A French Lick man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle on black ice on Friday morning.
According to an Indiana State Police report, 65-year-old old Ronald Garrison was traveling west on State Road 56 near State Road 545. About one quarter of a mile west of SR 545, Garrison began to slide on black ice and lost control of his 2007 Dodge Ram truck.
Garrison's truck slid off of the north side of the roadway and began rolling. The truck eventually came to rest after slamming into an embankment.
Garrison, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by the Dubois County Sheriff's Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, Dubois Fire Department, Memorial Hospital EMS, and the Dubois County Coroner's Office.
