(BEDFORD) - The Disabled Veteran’s Wish Foundation will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at their new location in Bedford on Saturday.
The volunteer organization which has granted more than 40 wishes to veterans will host an open house at 1515 G Street from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Mayor Shawna Girgis will cut the ribbon at 1 p.m. She will be joined by State Rep. Karlee Macer, who has championed veteran's issues at the Indiana Statehouse.
Beverages and snacks will be provided during the open house.
The group, who provides one-on-one support to veterans, operates through grants and fundraisers. All the money raised, after expenses, is used to grant wishes or assist veterans in getting benefits and services to which they are entitled.
Donations are accepted to assist the group in its endeavors.
The Disabled Veteran's Wish Foundation office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting next week.
