(BEDFORD) - A Chinese delegation from Bedford’s sister city of Fenghua arrived in Bedford Thursday night.
Gene McCracken, executive director for the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council, which is hosting the visit, says this is the third time the delegation has visited Lawrence County.
The Times-Mail reports that the six member delegation consists of political officials and two businessmen.
After their arrival Thursday, the delegation toured the West Baden Springs Hotel, the French Lick Springs Hotel and the French Lick casino. After a dinner under the dome at the West Baden Springs Hotel, they returned to Bedford for the night.
This morning the delegation will meet with officials from Lawrence County during a "stakeholder breakfast" at 7:30 a.m. at the Limestone Cafe on 16th Street.
Following breakfast, delegates will make stops at Indiana Limestone Co.; PRD, Inc.; Needmore Elementary School and the Feldun-Purdue Agricultural Center.
