(FERDINAND) - The Ferdinand Police Department’s 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck in a hit and run accident on Sunday.
WFIE reports, the crash happened around 1:50 a.m. at Virginia and 17th streets.
Witnesses heard the crash and observed a silver vehicle leaving the area, heading north on Virginia Street.
The suspect vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger side and should be missing part of the bumper.
The Jeep Cherokee had damage to the rear driver's side, totaling over $5,000.
