(LINTON) - A fire destroyed a Linton home Sunday night.
The Linton Fire Department was called to the blaze at 8:44 p.m. at 890 B Street South East.
When firefighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were on the scene until after 11:30 p.m.
The home, owned by Larry Myers and Barbara Purviance, was being rented by Ashley Miller. She and her children escaped unharmed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state fire marshal, but firefighters believe the fire was electrical in nature.
Assisting battling the fire was Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Miller and her children were assisted by the American Red Cross and the Linton First Christian Church with lodging and clothing.
