(LOOGOOTEE) - The Loogootee City Council accepted a bid from Renosys to build a new city pool.
The company presented a low bid of $522,600. The company is the same one that built the new Rainbow Beach Family Aquatic Center in Vincennes.
The Loogootee council has pledged $50,000 toward a $250,000 down payment. Monday they voted to put another $100,000 in EDIT revenue toward the down payment. Officials say another $100,000 grand will come from fundraising efforts.
The city and Martin County councils have both pledged EDIT monies over the next five years to pay for the project.
Renosys promised to have the pool completed by July 1.
