(BEDFORD) - A man was arrested Wednesday after police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and found two syringes filled with heroin.
Mitchell Police assisted with the search and found that the passenger, Matthew Irwin, had two syringes filled with heroin in his possession.
Irwin, who is homeless, was arrested on a charge of possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 21-year-old Dillon Shaw of Mitchell, was not arrested because he didn't know Irwin had the drugs, but he was issued a citation for an expired license plate.
