(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police were called to South Dunn Street and East Kirkwood Avenue at 10:46 p.m. Thursday after a complaint about a man wielding a pocket knife after his friend was denied entry into a bar.
Police say the attendant denied entry because they believed the person was using a fake identification.
A man stepped in to help the attendant when an altercation began and that is when the man began waving the pocket knife. The man who was helping was also struck with a door that was forcefully opened.
The man later discovered damage to his coat, which had been slashed by the pocket knife.
