(ODON) - Construction is booming in Odon.
The Odon Journal reports that the new Meng Family Funeral Home will start building soon on Highway 58 on Odon's east side.
The Odon Journal reports that proprietor James W. Meng-Junior hopes to have the new funeral home operational by late July or early August of this year.
Meng owns Anderson/Poindexter Funeral Homes in Linton and also a facility in Dugger. Stoll Brothers Lumber of Odon is the contractor.
A new sales and service facility from Blesch Brothers Equipment is set to be built on 25 acres on Highway 58 west of Odon.
Owner Brandon Hess told the Journal they need more room for the company that's been in the Odon area for almost a dozen years. The building will be a steel framed structure providing parts and sales areas of 10,000 square feet and a 15,000 square foot shop plus a large showroom.
