(BEDFORD) - An Oolitic man was arrested after police say he allegedly was dealing synthetic drugs.
26-year-old Reed Crane is facing charges of dealing and possession a synthetic drug, trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, Lawrence County Drug Task Force officers received information that crane was involved in dealing illegal drugs.
Officers knew what type of vehicle Crane was in and stopped it.
A K-9 alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle
"Mr. Crane was sitting in the back seat and that is where officers found a package with a residue in it that tested positive for a synthetic drug," Parsley says. "While arrested Mr. Crane, officers found cash and other drug paraphernalia."
At the jail, officers found two more packages of the synthetic drug hid in Crane's groin area.
Crane remains in jail this afternoon. He is being held on a $20,000 or $2,005 cash bond.
