(UNDATED) - Students pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies can apply for one of 40, $500 college scholarships from the Indiana Sheriff’s Association.
The scholarships are awarded to qualified high school seniors or college students.
Any applicants must be an Indiana resident, be a current member of the sheriffs' association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current association member, attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student.
Applications are available at area high schools, the sheriff's office or from the Indiana Sheriffs' Association.
Applications are also available online at www.indianasheriffs.org.
The deadline for applications is April 1st.
