(LOOGOOTEE) - A multi-agency drug investigation in Martin County landed six people in jail.
Officers from the Indiana State Police, Martin and Daviess County Sheriff's Departments, Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force, United States Marshall's Office, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms began executing search warrants at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Three teams simultaneously executed the search and arrest warrants, with all six people in jail before 7 a.m.

The warrants were issued based on a narcotics investigation that began during the summer months of 2014, targeting the sale and distribution of meth.
"I appreciate the detailed and hard work of all the police officers involved in this investigation," commented Martin County Prosecutor Michael Steiner. "I also appreciate the long hours that my Chief Deputy Prosecutor Larry Brodeur put in on this case."
