(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in an accident at 16th and L streets in Bedford Wednesday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 19-year-old Taneka Walters of Bloomfield was traveling west on 16th Street, which is a one-way street with traffic traveling east.
Walters told police she didn't realize she had turned onto a one-way street. She proceeded through the intersection of 16th and L Street when her 2004 Jeep Liberty struck a 2012 Chevrolet Impala driven by 73-year-old Phyllis Goldsby of Bedford who was traveling south on L Street.
Goldsby told police she had stopped at the intersection when the light turned green and was proceeding through the intersection when her vehicle was stuck by Walters' Jeep.
Goldsby and Walters were not injured, but Goldsby's passenger 76-year-old Betty Taylor of Bedford complained of chest pain.
Walters' passenger 48-year-old Toni Polmanter of Bloomington, complained of head pain. Both were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Walters was cited for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and an expired license plate.
