(BEDFORD) - One person suffered minor injuries after pulling into the path of a Seals ambulance on an emergency run.
According to a Bedford Police report, 64-year-old Pamela Duncan of Bedford was traveling east on U.S. 50 East and was stopped to make a left turn onto Limestone Run Road when she turned into the path of a Seals ambulance that was traveling east on U.S. 50 and passing vehicle on an emergency run. The emergency lights and sirens were sounding on the ambulance during the incident.
The driver of the ambulance, 38-year-old James Howell of Bedford told police he was passing vehicles that had pulled to the side of the road and was passing the intersection when Duncan attempted to turn left onto Limestone Run Road.
Howell told police that he attempted to avoid the collision by swerving to the right, but was unable to avoid the collision.
Two witnesses confirmed Howell's story.
Duncan complained of body pain and was treated at the scene. Howell was not injured.
