(DUBOIS CO.) - The Prosecutors Office in Dubois County announced that another sentencing took place in Dubois Superior Court relating to Operation Big Brother that took down 16 drug dealers last June.
49-year-old Karrie Eckert of Birdseye was sentenced to 6 years of supervised probation by Judge Mark McConnell Thursday.
She pled guilty to 2 counts of dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, Class B felonies and could have received up to 20 years in prison.
Two others in the case will be sentenced on Wednesday, January 28 in Dubois Superior Court.
21-year-old Caleb Hammond of Huntingburg and 45-year-old Jacob Volz of Huntingburg have both plead guilty to drug charges as well.
In all, four Operation Big Brother cases have been resolved with 12 remaining cases set for jury trials this year.
