(BEDFORD) - Alex Sheen, with his “because I said I would” message and who stresses the power of making and keeping a commitment, will address students at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School at 9 a.m. this morning in the Bedford North Lawrence High School Performing Arts Center.
The session is the first of two planned for today. The second session is at 1:30 for North Lawrence's three middle school and high school students.
Sheen's father died of small cell lung cancer in September 2012. Sheen, knowing his father was good with his promises, titled his father's eulogy "because I said I would." From that came Sheen's inspiration to begin a social movement and a nonprofit organization that also is known as "because I said I would." The movement is dedicated to bettering humanity through promises made and kept.
