(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police were called to the 2900 block West Third Street after a report of a man possibly selling drugs in the McDonald’s parking lot.
When police arrived they found 26-year-old Andrew Hall, but Hall refused to identify himself. Officers were able to determine Hall's identity and found he was wanted on a warrant. Hall says he lied to police because he knew he was wanted by police.
According to Bloomington Capt. Joe Qualters, officers searched Hall's pockets and found a folded pocket knife, a syringe and a plastic bag with what police believe is crystal meth.
He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property and theft. He is also being investigated for drug possession.
Hall is accused of taking a woman's Samsung Galaxy cellphone from her back pocket while she was at The Bluebird nightclub in April. Police were able to link Hall to the theft after the woman found photos and videos on her online Samsung account.
The phone has not been recovered.
