(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man was arrested after he allegedly after he punched a woman in the face and threw her down the stairs.
Bedford police were called to the 700 block of I Street after a child reported an intoxicated man was hitting their mother.
When police arrived they were meet by the woman who had visible injuries and 33-year-old Jonathan Fender was being detained by another male in an upstairs bedroom.
"The woman told officers that the argument began over purchases the woman had made," says Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley. "She alleges she was asleep when Mr. Fender began punching her in the face and head."
The woman was attempting to flee from Fender when he allegedly pushed her down the stairs.
Fender was arrested on charges of domestic battery in the presence of a minor
