(SEYMOUR) - A Jackson County man who pleaded guilty to stealing a truck and a van and then trying to hide from police in June 2014 could spend as many as eight years in prison.
The Seymour Tribune reports that 26-year-old Joshua David Jones of Seymour received three separate sentences from Senior Jackson Circuit Judge Bill Vance after agreeing to plead guilty to a Class C felony count of auto theft and Class D felony charges of resisting law enforcement and receiving stolen property.
Vance ordered Jones to serve eight years for the theft conviction and three years each for the other two convictions. Those sentences are to be served at the same time.
