(BLOOMINGTON) - The Lucky’s Market natural grocery chain confirmed it will open its first Indiana store in Bloomington in “late April or early May.”
The Boulder, Colorado-based firm will employ about 165 people when it opens at 2424 South Walnut Street in the former Marsh grocery store.
Lucky's Market was started in 2003 by two chefs, Trish and Bo Sharon, when they bought a convenience store in Boulder, Colo. The Sharons shared a vision of creating a grocery store where food lovers like themselves would want to shop, with quality products sold at affordable prices with genuine personal service.
Lucky's Market believe food is the connection that ties people together. Food not only fuels our body, it gives people an amazing opportunities to gather and connect with each other.
The business seeks the freshest local, organic, sustainable and traditionally crafted foods made with purpose and pride to sell in their stores. They also passionately support local farmers and organic foods with a garden to table belief that celebrates neighbors in the community.
