(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested on a domestic battery charge after he allegedly bit a woman on the arm.
Officers were called to a home in the 1700 block of WPA Road after the woman called 911.
According to Sheriff Mike Branham, a Lawrence County officer and an Indiana State Police trooper went to the home just before 7 p.m.
"When they arrived the victim showed officers teeth marks on her arm where she was allegedly bitten by the suspect. The victim also showed officers an injury to her mouth caused by the suspect allegedly punching her in the mouth when she called 911."
Branham says both the victim and 43-year-old Paul Mills Sr. had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Mills was arrested without incident and charged with domestic battery.
