(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after he got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend Saturday night.
Bloomington police were called to the College Mall Saturday night after a 35-year-old woman and her 40-year-old boyfriend were approached by the woman's ex-boyfriend and there was an argument.
During the argument the ex-boyfriend allegedly grabbed the woman "in a forceful manner."
As the couple was leaving the mall the ex-boyfriend again approached the couple and allegedly punched both the man and woman and then fled the scene.
Police later found 34-year-old Brandon Thompson and arrested him on a charge of battery. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail at 11:03 p.m. and is being held on a $1,000 surety or $500 cash bond.
