(BEDFORD) - An Owensburg man was arrested after he allegedly punched a woman in the face during a domestic fight in the parking lot of H&R Block in the 3300 block of 16th Street, Saturday afternoon.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says officers were called to the business at 5:37 p.m. after a woman called police reporting the incident.
According to police the woman and 61-year-old Kelly Holland had met in the parking lot to go together to Bloomington. The two then got into a verbal argument.
"The woman reported Mr. Holland grabbed her arms and shoulders and yanked her car keys from her hand," Parsley added. "He then punched her in the face with his fist causing injuries to her lip and then threw her car keys at her."
Holland left in his vehicle before police arrived. The woman gave police a description of the vehicle and officers stopped Holland's vehicle at 16th and Q streets.
Holland was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
