(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 50 on Friday.
According to a Bedford Police report, the accident happened at the intersection of 16 and D Street just before 3:30 p.m.
68-year-old James Cobb of 1300 Old Farm Road was traveling east on 16th Street and had stopped to wait for traffic to clear so he could make a left turn into the Swifty gas station when his 2004 GMC pickup was hit in the rear by a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 79-year-old Shirley Super of Bedford.
Super's vehicle was then hit in the rear by a 1985 Chevrolet pickup driving by 18-year-old Austin Ester of Bedford.
Ester told police that he couldn't get stop because Super had stopped abruptly.
Police say Ester's pickup struck the rear of Super's Equinox, pushing it into the rear of Cobb's GMC pickup.
According to the report, Super suffered neck pain and was taken by a Seals ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Ester and Cobb were not injured.
